By downloading, installing, or using the ParentGuideAI mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, including parents, guardians, and caregivers. You must be 18 years of age or older to use the App.
2. Description of Service
ParentGuideAI is a mobile application that provides:
- AI-generated parenting guidance and information
- Child development milestone tracking and predictions
- General health and behavior information ("Is This Normal?" feature)
- Daily parenting insights and smart reminders
- Photo memory capture and AI-generated stories
- Growth snapshot and development tracking
All AI-generated content is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
3. Medical Disclaimer
ParentGuideAI is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The AI-generated content within the App:
- Is for general informational and educational purposes only
- Is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- Should not be relied upon for emergency medical situations
- May not be accurate, complete, or applicable to your specific situation
Always seek the advice of your physician, pediatrician, or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding your child's health. In case of emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.
The "Is This Normal?" feature is a general guidance tool only. It cannot and does not replace a clinical examination by a qualified medical professional.
4. Subscription & Payments
Free Plan: The App is available free of charge with limited feature access (daily and weekly usage limits apply).
Pro Subscription: An optional paid subscription ("Pro") is available that provides unlimited access to all AI features. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually at the price shown in the App at the time of purchase.
- Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play
- Payment is charged to your App Store / Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store / Google Play subscription settings
- Refunds are handled according to the applicable platform's refund policy (Apple App Store or Google Play)
- We do not offer partial refunds for unused subscription periods
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You agree not to:
- Use the App in any way that could disable, overburden, or impair our servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its related systems
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code from the App
- Use the App to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as professional medical advice
- Use the App on behalf of any person under 18 years of age (the App is operated by adults, about children)
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its name, logo, design, content, and underlying technology, is owned by ParentGuideAI and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
AI-generated responses are provided to you for personal use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit AI-generated content from the App.
7. User Content
Content you create within the App — including photos, notes, and memories — remains yours. You retain full ownership of your content. Because all content is stored locally on your device, we do not have access to it and cannot be held responsible for its loss.
We strongly recommend using the in-app data export feature to back up your family data regularly.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any AI-generated content
AI responses are generated by a large language model and may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. Always verify important health or developmental information with a qualified professional.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ParentGuideAI and its developers shall not be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data (including child profiles or memories stored on your device)
- Damages arising from your reliance on AI-generated content for medical or developmental decisions
- Damages resulting from third-party service interruptions (e.g., AI provider downtime)
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for a Pro subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
Upon termination, your locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it. We have no server-side data to delete on your behalf.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the jurisdiction in which you reside, as permitted by local law.
